ODB Says She Was Asked For WWE Royal Rumble Appearance

Impact Wrestling veteran ODB nearly made her WWE debut earlier this year as part of the Women’s Royal Rumble.

ODB is best known for her time in Impact Wrestling, where she is a four-time Knockouts Champion and one-time Knockouts Tag Team Champion.

While speaking on The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling Podcast, the wrestling veteran says she was on board for an appearance, but someone turned it down on her behalf.

“I did get a call for the Rumble, but it didn’t work out. But that would be cool. I always wanted to drive the food truck into the arena.

They wanted me, but of course a person [in] upper… someone turned it down. But I did get a couple calls.”

This year’s Women’s Royal Rumble did see an appearance by Impact’s Mickie James, who was the Knockouts Champion at the time.

While never competing officially for WWE, ODB did audition for the first season of Tough Enough and made the top 25, but was not picked for the show.

She would later join OVW, but then Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis believed she would not fit in on WWE’s Divas roster, and Triple H encouraged her to join Impact.

Outside of wrestling, ODB runs her own food truck called ODB’s Meat and Greet.
