WWE SmackDown commentator Pat McAfee has taken a full-time role with ESPN as host of ‘College GameDay.’
McAfee, a former NFL punter who began making appearances for WWE in 2018 and in April 2021, was moved to SmackDown as a color commentator.
The New York Post reports that McAfee has signed with ESPN to host College GameDay, and will be present this Saturday in Austin, where No. 1 Alabama will face Texas.
McAfee will continue to do his daily talk show that is on YouTube, as well as SmackDown.
The popular SmackDown commentator also confirmed the report with a tweet.
McAfee’s news comes days after he ended his relationship with SiriusXM, which had simulcast his show for two years.
ESPN declined to comment on McAfee when asked by the Post.
