As seen at Sunday’s WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event in Orlando, Florida at the Amway Center on the WWE Network, Randy Orton beat Drew McIntyre to win the WWE Championship.
Dave Meltzer noted on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio that McIntyre taking a fall off the Hell in a Cell structure was because he had fond memories of Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker at Badd Blood 1997.
This was a tribute to Michaels for taking the same bump.
