As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, Andrade El Idolo finished up with AEW at Saturday night’s Worlds End 2023 pay-per-view event. AEW President Tony Khan confirmed that Andrade’s AEW deal will be expiring tomorrow and he’ll become a free agent.
In an update on this, several internal reports within WWE are indicating that Andrade is expected to be back with the company as early as Monday. As you know by now, a “former WWE Champion” is expected to be appearing on Monday’s ‘Day 1’ episode of WWE RAW. As of this writing, there is no word on if Andrade will be that person.
Andrade requested his release from WWE in March 2021. He would later go on to work for AEW, AAA, and other promotions.
