Report – CM Punk Was Involved In A Backstage Altercation With William Regal

All Elite Wrestling announced the news on Saturday that CM Punk’s contract with the company has been terminated following a backstage altercation with Jack Perry at the All In 2023 pay-per-view event in London, England.

According to a new report, CM Punk was involved in yet another backstage incident last year following AEW All Out 2022.

A report from BodySlam.net notes that Punk refused to shake William Regal’s hand backstage upon his debut. One source said Punk went as far as to get in Regal’s face, telling him that he didn’t like him or trust him. He also accused Regal of being a “stooge” for Triple H. For what it’s worth, Regal has been praised backstage over the years as being a true leader.

William Regal parted ways with AEW earlier this year after Tony Khan let him out of his contract. He has since returned to WWE and works in a backstage role under Triple H.
