According to sources, WWE is trying to sign as many of the top United Kingdom Superstars as possible. The company is reportedly doing this to keep them away from ITV’s World of Sport promotion. The company tapes in Norwich and has expanded into the UK market with a UK brand and weekly television. WWE will be returning to the UK on June 18th and 19th with the UK Championship tournament at Royal Albert Hall in London.
As we previously reported here on eWrestlingNews.com, UK wrestler Toni Storm is one of the names rumored for the UK shows. It should be noted that wrestlers aren’t publicly allowed to talk about signing with WWE until the company officially announces them. With that being said, names that are reportedly in talks with WWE include Joe Coffey, Dave Mastiff, El Ligero, Travis Banks, Chris Brookes, Jinny, and Eddie Dennis.
