As seen on this week’s episode of WWE NXT in Orlando, Florida at the Capitol Wrestling Center on the USA Network, Io Shirai retained the NXT Women’s Title over Rhea Ripley.
This was talked about on Wrestling Observer Radio by Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez. According to Meltzer, he’s under the impression that Ripley is headed to the main roster.
Meltzer said, “my impression is from watching [the match] is that Rhea is going to the main roster.”
Meltzer added, “I just think this is the way to just finish up the story because even the way that they hugged and everything at the end. I could be wrong and no one has told me but I have definitely heard talk of Rhea Ripley going to the main roster.”
