UPDATE: TMZ has confirmed that Flair was put into a coma and is being prepared for surgery.
ORIGINAL: We reported earlier on the site that WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair was hospitalized for heart-related issues over the weekend. Flair’s representative Melinda Morris Zanoni said on social media that he is “dealing with some tough medical issues” and asked for people to send prayers.
Jimmy Van of Fightful.com is reporting that Flair was in a medically induced coma as of Monday morning.
Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer also commented on the Flair situation by writing the on this message board:
“Charlotte was well aware of everything while in China, that much I know. She was one of the few. Must have been a turn for the worst. I was pretty concerned when I
heard nothing all day, was just too long since I heard from anyone.”
