Ronda Rousey Fined By WWE for Recent Actions

WWE has announced that they are fining Ronda Rousey for her recent behavior on Monday Night Raw:

“Ronda Rousey has been fined by WWE as a result of her unprofessional actions last Monday night on Raw. Due to the confidentiality of Rousey’s contract, the amount of the fine will not be disclosed. Appropriate action has been taken.”

Author’s Take: It always comes across as strange to me in this day and age when WWE tries to utilize a storyline plot like this.

To me, they do so much fourth wall breaking that when they try to establish a point like this and then say that because of her contract they can’t even give a number, it pushes me more in the direction of this is really phony.

Which, of course, it is, but I don’t think that’s the vibe they’re trying to give to the audience.
