As we’ve recently noted, Sasha Banks did not take part in this past weekend’s WWE live events. Banks had not been cleared for in-ring competition since her match with Ronda Rousey at the Royal Rumble last week. In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Banks has still not been cleared to make her return to in-ring competition.
She was not cleared for her tag team match on RAW this week, which is likely why Nikki Cross and Alicia Fox attacked her and Bayley prior to their tag team match. Bayley worked the entire bout alone while Banks was in the corner. Meltzer pointed out that the decision to even allow Banks at ringside was a rare one, but was likely done to help the storyline.
The extent of Banks’ injury is unknown, but it’s believed she’ll be ready to go in time for the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view (PPV).
