According to a new report from the Pro Wrestling Sheet website, Lucha Underground will be returning for a third season. The site reports that company officials announced the third season renewal during a backstage meeting prior to the final taping for season two. Management revealed that El Rey has “greenlit” a third season.
It was also revealed during the same backstage meeting that the show will soon be available on iTunes, making it available to those without the El Rey network.
The season two premiere drew 44,000 viewers, which was way up from the 8,000 viewers it drew for its first season premiere.
