Stone Cold Loved The Revival vs. Gargano & Ciampa Match From Takeover: Brooklyn

On the latest installment of The Steve Austin Show, The Rattlesnake interviewed the Revival. During the interview, he analyzed their match with Gargano and Ciampa from the NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II Pay-Per-View. This is what he said about it:

“I’ll tell you what: when I started watching that match, off the charts, you guys started working the body part right off the bat, and I dug that. What I liked about the match was the layout…viscous, mean. You have a mean streak. Some of the key components I always talk about in being a good, effective heel, is just having a mean streak and that’s what you guys got. You didn’t pander to the crowd; you’re not begging for approval, or trying to elect a response that’s not there. On the other hand of the spectrum, your babyfaces – those two guys worked their asses off. Those guys have tremendous fire, and they sold like crazy, as did you guys. A lot of stuff in play here. Manipulation of the referee. There was so much team work in this thing; it was very refreshing. I started smiling because I started seeing a lot of things that you don’t see anymore in tag team wrestling. It builds to a great finish…tremendous finish. I was laughing my ass off because I was so entertained to see such high level work, because I’m a huge tag team fan. I digested the match for a little bit, and then I went back and watched it again.”
