Study Finds That The Age Of Wrestling TV Viewers Has Almost Doubled

According to a new study done by Magna Global for SportsBusiness Journal, the median age of wrestling television viewers has almost doubled. In year 2000, the age of the professional wrestling television viewer was 28-years-old while the median age in 2016 was 54-years-old.

Of the 25 sports, which used data from the study, wrestling saw the biggest increase in median age. Deadspin picked up the story, though Dave Meltzer Tweeted that “The premise is accurate but current average sounds high, Raw & SD are still in 40s.”
