Suspected Motive Behind Cain Velasquez’s ‘Attempted Murder’ Case Revealed

Cain Velasquez is facing an ‘attempted murder’ charge after allegedly trying to shoot a man charged with molesting an underage relative of the former UFC Heavyweight Champion.

Last weekend, Velasquez was arrested and is accused of firing a weapon that left one man in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

In an update by ‘The Mercury News,’ it’s reported that Velasquez allegedly fired the gun at Harry Eugene Goularte, who has been charged with one count of a lewd act with a child under the age of 14.

The child is believed to be a relative of Velasquez, as the Mercury News reports:

“The accused man, 43-year-old Harry Eugene Goularte, lives at the home that hosts a daycare business run by his mother, according to a criminal complaint that charged Goularte with one felony count of a lewd and lascivious act with a child under the age of 14. Goularte was arraigned Friday, and a judge granted him supervised release, over objections from the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office.”

Three days after Goularte’s release, Velasquez allegedly opened fire at a car but hit Goularte’s stepfather instead.

The vehicle also contained another person who was unharmed.

Velasquez is best known for his run in UFC, where he became a two-time Heavyweight Champion.

He would later join WWE in late 2019 before being released in April 2020.
