The Latest Update On CM Punk & The Young Bucks

In the most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer disclosed that CM Punk has not made any efforts to reconcile with The Young Bucks. Meltzer also mentioned that sources close to Punk have indicated that he has been advised to avoid any communication with them. He noted,

“Since I’ve been asked about this a lot, Punk has not apologized or attempted to make any direct amends to the Young Bucks, although those close to him said that’s because he’s been told not to have any contact with them and without any contact he couldn’t.

“Nobody has said he would if he could or he wouldn’t, because there are people who want everyone to make amends and that was suggested by many of at least an attempt at a way.”

For several weeks, there has been intriguing speculation due to the possible connection between the rumored return of CM Punk to AEW and the reported development of a new AEW weekly show on Saturday nights called AEW Collision. Meltzer also provided an updated on this front, noting,

“As things stand right now, the return of C.M. Punk is scheduled for a 6/17 show at the United Center in Chicago, which being a Saturday night show, is likely the debut of the new weekly show.”
