Torrie Wilson Shares Initial Plans For WWE Evolution Match

While doing a recent interview on Lilian Garcia’s Chasing Glory podcast, Torrie Wilson talked about a wide range of topics including initial plans calling for her to team up to take on The IIconics (Billie Kay & Peyton Royce) at the WWE Evolution pay-per-view last October in Uniondale, New York at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

It turns out that she would’ve teamed up with Michelle McCool. However, those plans were scrapped. Instead, she competed in a 20-woman Battle Royal for a women’s championship match that was won by Nia Jax.

“They [WWE] had called me months before and asked if I would want to [compete at Evolution] and I said I would love to but I really want to be in a match, and I had pitched a match against The IIconics. It was gonna happen and then they decided they didn’t want it to happen. I got all excited, I was ready to go train here in Orlando, and for whatever reasons creatively it didn’t happen.”
