During the conference call for NXT TakeOver: New York, Triple H spoke about his impending match with Batista at WrestleMania 35.
Breaking away from his on-screen frustration, Triple H openly spoke about how much it means for him to have this match with Dave and how much is looking forward to finishing their story together:
“It’s an opportunity for Dave to finish out the way he wanted to finish his career, and as he’s gone on to be a movie star and I’ve done my big things I think it was important for him to have closure, come back and have that one more moment. It’s something that he’s wanted to do for a few years, he’s really excited to do it and I’m really excited that he asked me to do it along with him.”
