has heard that Brian James (Road Dogg) replaced Ryan Ward as the new head writer of Smackdown. It is said that James received the corporate promotion over Ward, though both are sharing the job of pitching ideas to Vince McMahon, who rewrites it as he sees fit. James and Ward have been co-writing the show for a while now.
