Fightful Select spoke with several employees of WWE, who have worked in the office, and numerous talent over the last year regarding all of the releases. Since 2019, over 100 wrestlers have been let go by WWE and cited as budget cuts.
The subject of having no-cut clauses in contracts was brought up. While several people of influence within the company were open to that, eventually talent was told it isn’t negotiable or something WWE was willing to utilize in their deals.
Per the report, Vince McMahon has been adamantly against it.
