Following Saturday night’s live episode of AEW Dynamite, Cody Rhodes got on the microphone and asked the fans in attendance if they had a good time. He went on to talk about the city of Orlando, mentioning that this is the city his father was buried in and he wanted to create a new memory. He brought out Negative 1, Sammy Guevara, Fuego Del Sol and Griff Garrison to ringside.
Suddenly, The Acclaimed came out to interrupt Cody. Max Caster rapped about Cody and Guevara having had their time, and that nobody cares about Fuego, Griff, or “the little kid” and blamed Tony Khan for them not being featured on AEW Dynamite for so long.
Khan would eventually come out and said the fans didn’t pay to see Max Caster rap, they paid to see CM Punk!
CM Punk then made his way to the ring. Khan cut off Punk’s music and asked him if The Acclaimed would get away with what they said.
Punk asked Khan “what time it is”, with Khan responding that “It’s clobbering time.” Fuego then hit a tornado DDT on Caster while Punk hit a GTS on Bowens. Brodie Jr. (Negative 1) then pinned Bowens.
