As we reported earlier this week here on eWn, WWE recently filed trademarks for the names of four NXT Superstars. The four names were as follows; Roxanne Perez, Cruz Del Torio, Alba Fyre, and Katana Chance.
As of the time of writing for that initial story, it was known that Roxanne Perez would be the WWE name of former ROH Women’s World Champion Rok-C. Meanwhile, Cruz Del Torio is the name now used by Legado Del Fantasma’s Raul Mendoza.
In a follow up on that story, PWInsider is reporting that Katana Chance is set to be the new name of Kacy Catanzaro. Additionally, Alba Fyre will be the new name of Kay Lee Ray.
It should be noted that these latest changes come after it was recently reported that WWE no longer wants to have any of their Superstars wrestle under their real names. Those same reports stated that WWE plans to change the in-ring name of any Superstars who have carried on using the names they used on the independent circuit.
