Wrestler Emile Duprée, Father Of Renee Duprée, Passes Away At The Age Of 86

Wrestler and promoter Emile Duprée has died at the age of 86.

Pwinsider is reporting that Ron Hutchinson confirmed the news on Facebook in a tribute to Duprée, describing him as an “often overlooked Canadian pro-wrestling icon.”

Duprée, real name Emile Goguen, began his career in the 1950s, and his son Renee would debut on WWE programming in 2003 and would become a World Tag Team Champion.

In the 1970s, Duprée founded ‘Grand Prix Wrestling’ in Canada which would remain a territory until the mid-1980s when Vince McMahon’s expansion of the WWF took place.

Our thoughts are with Duprée’s family and those who knew him at this sad time.
