WWE Announces First-Ever Women’s Match in Saudi Arabia Set for Crown Jewel

History will be made.

WWE has confirmed that the first-ever Women’s match will occur in Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel between Lacey Evans and Natalya.

Fightful Select first reported that these two women, along with Lana, were in Saudi Arabia for the event.

Natalya and Lacey Evans had a bitter rivalry recently on WWE TV, which culminated in a Last Woman Standing Match earlier this month before the two were separated by the 2019 WWE Draft. They even tested the waters as a tag team during Lacey’s final night on Raw, pairing up in a losing effort against the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Kairi Sane and Asuka.

Previously, WWE had attempted to get women’s wrestling on their Saudi Arabian supershows, even going so far as to fly Alexa Bliss and Natalya over, but to no avail. Now, it seems that has changed and yet another milestone moment for WWE’s women’s division is occurring in 2019. This, of course, adds to the first-ever women’s headlining match at WrestleMania

which occurred earlier this year between Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Ronda Rousey.

Congratulations to both of these women on this historic accomplishment.
