Long-time composer Jim Johnston has been released from WWE.
Rumors of Johnston’s WWE release surfaced on several social media outlets yesterday. According to sources, the rumor is accurate and he is no longer working for WWE.
For those unaware, Johnston created numerous iconic WWE theme songs, including:
* “Stone Cold” Steve Austin
* The Rock
* Vince McMahon
* Triple H
* The Undertaker
* D-Generation X
* The Ultimate Warrior
* Chris Jericho
* Mankind
As of this writing, there is no word on why he was released from WWE although it doesn’t appear to be a mutual decision as WWE had recently been using CFO$ for most of their new themes.
