WWE Crown Jewel Results: Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Rusev

The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the WWE Crown Jewel PPV event:

United States Championship match: (C) Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Rusev:

Rusev begins working on Nakamura in the corner, and hits him with a suplex for a two count. Nakamura fires back now, hitting a drop kick for a two count of his own. Nakamura powers Rusev down to the ground and begins delivering knees to Rusev’s body while in a headlock. Rusev gets to his feet and begins to fight back, but Nakamura locking in the headlock even tighter now, and Rusev drops back to a knee, and further down to his stomach.

Rusev finally powers out with a face plant. Rusev counters Nakamura’s strikes and is firing up now. Bit clotheslines from Rusev and the crowd is eating it up. Spinning heel kick from Rusev, who misses another kick, and after some reversals from both men, lands a high kick for a two count. Rusev stomping on Nakamura now, but the United States Champion hits Rusev with a kick, which brings Rusev to his knees. Running knee to the face from Nakamura for a two count.

Nakamura comes off the middle rope but eats a superkick from Rusev for a two count. Rusev goes for the Accolade, but Nakamura gets to the ropes before he can lock it in. Kick to the back of the neck by Nakamura, who goes to the top rope and hits a knee to the back of Rusev’s head. Nakamura gets the two count and goes to the corner to call for the Kinshasa. Nakamura goes for it, but Rusev reverses into the Accolade.

Nakamura almost gets to the ropes, but Rusev releases the hold to drag Nakamura back away from the ropes, however, upon attempting to lock in the Accolade again, Nakamura uses his head to low blow Rusev. Once Rusev turns back around, Nakamura hits the Kinshasa for the three count and the win.
