Dating back to December, WWE had plans to call up Cameron Grimes to the main roster as he had his last match in November on an episode of NXT when he lost to Joe Gacy.
As recently as last week, it was reported that WWE didn’t have anything creatively for him on the main roster and he was waiting for that to change.
Pwinsider is reporting that there are rumblings internally about how Grimes is expected to be called up to the main roster, “possibly after WrestleMania.”
Before last Friday’s SmackDown, Grimes returned to action by working a pre-show dark match where he lost to Ashante Thee Adonis.
