WWE Hall of Famer Mike Tyson punched a passenger on a Jet Blue flight that was traveling from San Francisco, CA to Florida.
TMZ.com is reporting that the incident took place on Wednesday night when an intoxicated man sitting behind Tyson tried to take a selfie with the boxing legend. The man then began mocking “Iron Mike” and refused to stop when asked. After Tyson repeatedly told the man to sit down and stop talking, he got up from his seat and punched him in the face several times. A video of the incident can be seen below.
According to Tyson’s rep, the man was harassing him and threw a water bottle at him at one point. The statement said,
“Unfortunately, Mr. Tyson had an incident on a flight with an aggressive passenger who began harassing him, and threw a water bottle at him while he was in his seat.”
The San Francisco Police Department has confirmed that they responded to the scene and two people were detained. The man who was punched was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Additionally, the intoxicated man “provided minimal details of the incident and refused to cooperate further with the police investigation.”
WWE has announced several matches for some upcoming episodes of NXT UK.
First, we’ll see Meiko Satomura defend the NXT UK Women’s Championship against Isla Dawn on the May 5th episode of NXT UK.
Additionally, Ilja Dragunov will defend the NXT UK Championship against Jordan Devlin on the May 12th episode of NXT UK. A contract signing between the two men will be taking place next week.
