WWE is looking to add more talent to the cruiserweight division.
According to a report by PWinsider.com, WWE is looking to sign Rockstar Spud, who recently departed from Impact Wrestling, with the idea of adding him to the 205 Live roster. As noted, he asked for his release from Impact earlier this week, and it was granted.
Also, there has been some talk within the sports entertainment company about moving Hideo Itami up from the NXT roster to the main roster with the idea that he would join the Raw brand as a member of the Cruiserweight division. As of this writing, there is no current debut date set, but the plan is to move Itami up as soon as creative is in place.
