Finn Balor retained the NXT Title over Kyle O’Reilly in the main event of NXT TakeOver 31. After the match, Balor was taken to a local hospital for x-rays on his jaw while O’Reilly was also checked out by medical officials backstage.
Dave Meltzer noted during today’s Wrestling Observer Radio that the match between the two ended a little earlier than it was supposed to due to their injuries.
Meltzer didn’t know how long the match was supposed to last, but the reason for the abrupt ending was the injury to Balor’s jaw.
