WWE NXT TakeOver: Toronto II Results: Adam Cole vs. Johnny Gargano

The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the WWE NXT TakeOver: Toronto II event:

NXT Title 2-out-of-3 Falls Match: Adam Cole © vs. Johnny Gargano (1st fall: Singles Match, 2nd fall: Street Fight

1st Fall (Singles Match): 

They start brawling to begin this one. Cole missed a kick and ate the steel steps. Gargano started working over the left knee of Cole. Moments later, Cole started to get some offense in and working over the back of Gargano. He sent him back first into the apron then hit a neck breaker back in the ring. Gargano with a belly suplex to Cole into the corner. Gargano with a rolling super kick then went for a sling shot move but Cole blocked it. Gargano hit a suplex into a small package for 2. Gargano locked in a figure four leg lock but Cole got out of it. Cole with a german suplex. Cole with a head kick and Gargano fired back with one of his own. Cole went for a sunset flip powerbomb but Gargano reversed it with a reverse tombstone for 2. Cole went to the top rope and tried a powerbomb but Gargano blocked. Gargano dove off the top rope but Cole caught him with a knee strike and hit a suplex for 2. They both hit a clothesline to take each other out. Gargano went for an outside dive but Cole caught him with a head kick. Gargano sent him into the barricade then a sling shot DDT for 2. Gargano with a super kick but Cole answered with his own. Cole with a brain buster for 2. Cole beat him down in the corner. Cole tried to bring a chair in the ring but the referee took it from him. Cole hit a low blow for 2. Gargano hit him with a chair causing the DQ. 

2nd Fall (Street Fight): 

Gargano hit him several times with the chair and then took a seat until the second fall began. Gargano tossed a chair at him then hit an outside dive. They brawl into the audience. Gargano tackled him through the barricade. Gargano hit a back body drop to Cole through the announce table. Gargano brought out a table and then another one. He tossed in several chairs. Cole with a head kick then a suplex on a chair for 2. Gargano sent him flying head first into a chair in the corner. Gargano locked in the crossface for the win. 

Third Fall (Weapons Cage): 

Cole tried to climb out but Gargano stopped him. Cole with a series of kicks. Gargano with a major league clothesline. Gargano with a super kick then a series of kendo sticks. They hit a double super kick. Gargano tried to go for a ladder but Cole stopped him. Gargano with a head scissors off the ladder. Gargano with a super kick for 2. Cole with a chair shot to the back of the challenger. Cole sent Gargano head first into the chair on the steel. Cole with a back stabber for 2. Gargano with a series of headbutts then spread the fire extinguisher. Gargano with a DDT off the second rope onto chairs. Gargano tried to get a sledgehammer but Cole stopped him. Gargano with a powerbomb off the middle rope. Cole with two super kicks. Cole launches a ladder at him but misses. Cole hit a candian destroyer for 2. Cole climbed a ladder and hit a candian destroyer off of it for a near fall. Cole placed him on a chair and missed a running knee strike. Gargano placed the kendo stick in his mouth and pulled back but Cole forced it right back on Gargano. Gargano hit him in the gut with the stick. Gargano put him on the tables then rolled off as Gargano climbed. Gargano with a candian destroyer off the top rope for a near fall. Gargano got some chains, brass knucks, and more. Gargano started to cut barbed wire off the cage. Cole tried to escape but Gargano stopped him. They battled on a platform on top of the cage. They both fall off the cage through one table in the ring and Cole pinned him for the win.
