WWE Seeking To Obtain The Heartland Wrestling Association Tape Library

Pwinsider says that WWE is in the process of finalizing a deal to obtain the videotape library of former WWE developmental territory: Heartland Wrestling Association.

The deal would include the footage from HWA’s TV show. It ran for several years locally in Ohio, and it featured a number of WCW talents. The deal would not include the tapes of the Brian Pillman Memorial shows, due to the fact that the rights to those events are controlled and owned by the Pillman estate.

Once the deal is finalized, the library would be the final former WWE developmental library that was not absorbed into the company’s archives, joining Ohio Valley Wrestling, Deep South Wrestling, Florida Championship Wrestling and NXT.

WWE is said to have possession of the library, though the deal has not been fully finalized at this time.
