We have learned that Friday’s edition of WWE SmackDown has been pre-empted in select markets due to the NFL pre-season games.
The Detroit, Michigan area has pre-empted SmackDown until 11PM (local time) due to the Detroit Lions first pre-season football game. Also, the same goes for Albany, New York for the Buffalo Bills pre-season game, as SmackDown will be airing on local channel 23 for that given channel listing.
As you’d expect, the reason for this is because the Buffalo Bills vs. Detroit Lions pre-season game aired the local FOX affiliates in these areas.
