WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan vs. Ronda Rousey was booked at this year’s WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view event. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the match:
Rousey came out the gate quickly. Rousey went for her finisher, but Morgan pushed her back and rolled her up for 2. Rousey with the armbar while using the ropes. Rousey with the armbar in the middle of the ring, but Morgan got to the ropes.
They did a finish where Rousey had Morgan in the armbar, but the referee counted the three as Rousey’s shoulders were down at the same time. They gave Morgan the win even though she tapped a split second before. Post-match, Rousey attacked Morgan.
