WWE Talent Reportedly Spread False AEW Rumor

According to a report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, he and Fumi Saito were a part of a professional wrestling documentary, in which WWE personnel were also interviewed.

However, Meltzer revealed that he blocked the director after he was asked if it was true that All Elite Wrestling (AEW) president Tony Khan bought out all the tickets for AEW’s first-day sold-out events in order to make it look like the product was hot.

Meltzer notes the story is a false rumor, and was started by someone in WWE. The rumor was either spread within WWE talent, or told to WWE talent by someone working for the company.
