It’s been weeks since fans heard anything about the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. After Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of WWE over creative differences, the tag belts remained in limbo. WWE announced a tournament to crown new champions, but nothing has come of it. Now, it appears the titles will remain in limbo for the time being.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp has reported behind the paywall that even talent backstage has no idea what’s going on with the belts. The report adds that there haven’t been any backstage discussions regarding the tournament.
As of now, it seems the titles will remain off television while WWE does whatever they can to remove Banks and Naomi from their product.
