Kansas City Chiefs Player Uses WWE Title To Console Child After Shooting, More

A great story coming out of Kansas City, MO tonight, this after a mass shooting took place during the team’s celebratory parade on Wednesday.

According to a report from ESPN, Kansas City Chiefs player Trey Smith used the Chiefs’ custom WWE Championship to calm a child after the shooting took place. As many of you know, one person was left dead and another 22 were injured during a shooting at the parade. The shooting was the result of a personal dispute between several men.

Smith, an offensive lineman with the team, had a WWE Championship at the celebration and shared it with a young boy to calm him down. He said,

“I was thinking, what can I do to help him out? I just handed him the belt: ‘Hey buddy, you’re the champion. No one’s going to hurt you, man. We’ve got your back.’”
