Triple H On Why Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Netflix Fight Is A “Genius” Decision

WWE CCO Triple H has praised the decision to have Jake Paul face Mike Tyson as part of an upcoming high-profile Netflix special.

The fight will take place on July 20, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas which served as the host of WWE WrestleMania 38 in 2022.

On a recent edition of the “ImPaulsive” podcast, Triple H shared his initial response to the news of the fight and why he thinks it is a smart move. He said,

“When I first heard that deal, and you know I saw the announcement, just like everybody else did, I was like, ‘He’s gonna fight Tyson? ‘ And then, just in my mind, I was like, ‘Oh, that’ll be a good pay-per-view, that’d be cool’.

“I was like, are they going to run a pay-per-view? And then I realized, no. It’s just on Netflix. Oh my, the kid’s a genius. It’s really smart.”

Tyson appeared for WWE in 1998 during a ban from professional boxing. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012.

Jake Paul appeared to support his brother Logan at WWE Crown Jewel 2022 and has teased competing for WWE in the past but has yet to have a match.
