Samoa Joe makes his way to the ring in a suit with his World Heavyweight Championship. He addresses the people. They thank him, but he says there is no need for that. He has some changes for the championship protocol. Bring your record and reputation to the championship committee, and they will decide if they are worthy of Samoa Joe stomping their ass out.
The Mogul Embassy interrupt the champion. Swerve Strickland says that he told Hangman Page it was business between them, but it became personal. If Joe wants it that way, it can happen. Speaking of Hangman Page, he enters Daily’s Place with a microphone. He reminds everyone what he did in 2023. What he lost sight of was the AEW World Championship, and in 2024, he will make it his. He threatens Samoa Joe after what he had done to him.
As Page and Strickland leave, Samoa Joe raises his belt. Hook arrives to confront Joe. They have a brief staredown, and Joe tells him he was one week to prepare.
Backstage, Toni Storm admits she did not see Mariah May’s match. Renee mentions the newest signing Deonna Purrazzo, who Toni admits her name sounding familiar. She forgets her line, and Mariah May ruins it by letting her know what it is.
Ricky Starks and Sammy Guevara shake hands afterward, but Starks shakes his hand extra long to give Big Bill the opportunity to strike him from behind. Chris Jericho shows up to help his friend. The fight continues as Judas plays in the background.
Adam Cole said when things would change, he didn’t just say it for the sake of it. They don’t want to earn anything from the fans, because they deserve what they get. The International Championship has Strong’s name on it. The Kingdom has never got the respect that they deserve it. They will go down as one of the greatest tag teams of all time.
And of course, when it comes to the monster, the dominator, and one of the most vicious men in AEW… Cole is talking about Wardlow. Now that he is surrounded by people who respect him, when the time is right, they will win the AEW World Championship. Welcome to the new kingdom. Get comfortable, because they will be here for a very long time.
Deonna Purrazzo says she is on cloud nine after signing with AEW. It is fine that Toni Storm pretends she doesn’t know who she is. Purrazzo says she will be making her debut on Collision this week, so Red Velvet interrupts by saying she will also make her debut. It looks like we have a match set.
Jim Ross joins the commentary table for the main event match.
