Hogan said on his relationship with Steiner, “Every time I’ve ever seen him, he’s always been nice to me. Last time I saw him, he shook my hand, he was asking how my back was, you know he even helped me and gave me some phone numbers for different doctors so it’s really weird.
“It’s weird to see a guy, shake his hand… then all of a sudden he goes nuts on you. I’ve found out that people aren’t really happy with where they’re at in life, maybe he’s not happy with his career, they blame everybody else. It’s everybody’s elses fault but theirs, so that’s the easy way out.”
Hogan also said that he believes Steiner is angry at him because of his current career position. Hogan said, “I mean, Scott Steiner had nothing to do with where he’s at right now, p***ed off because he’s not working at TNA, he’s just working independent shows and he’s mad at me. It’s my fault that his life is the way it is. I guess some people can’t take responsibility for their own lives… I don’t know what the deal is. I like the guy. I really like Scott. I’m really surprised he went off like he did.”
Speaking on why Steiner left TNA, Hogan said: “I didn’t even know they told him to leave. The last time he came, I saw him pull up in his rental car. I said ‘where’s Steiner at, he’s supposed to work with [James] Storm’, they said he didn’t want to do business and they told him to leave. I didn’t even know it. Jesus Christ, why would he do that?”
