WWE’s International division President Gerrit Meier has left the company.
Meier joined the company in March of 2013 and was responsible for expanding the company’s international TV distribution agreements and managing the “continued advancement of WWE’s international licensing, live events, digital and publishing operations.” Meier had worked as the Global General Manager for Distribution and Partnerships at Spotify prior to joining WWE.
As of this writing, there is no word on why he left the company and what WWE plans to do. Will they hire a new person for the position or restructure things? That remains to be seen. Stay tuned.
Also, those who reported to Meier will now report to already-existing companies.
