Welcome back to another Monday Morning Q&A where I toss out some questions to get a feel of how you guys and gals are feeling about certain topics.

So here are 5 questions I’d like to toss out for this week. I’ll give my answers, too, but the key here is that I want to know what YOU think! So make sure you chime in!

1) Are you happy with Death Triangle as the new AEW trios champions, or do you think Best Friends or someone else should have won?

I was super disappointed Best Friends didn’t win. When are they going to get another opportunity to hold these titles? They’re fan favorites, so it wasn’t like the crowd would have rejected it. Pac already holds the All-Atlantic Championship and is busy defending that around the world. We’ve seen The Lucha Bros as tag team champions before. Meh.

Death Triangle absolutely should have won these titles at some point, but now didn’t feel like the right time. I think this is a missed opportunity Tony Khan and possibly others will reflect back on and realize they should have gone the opposite direction.

2) Who are you rooting for to win the AEW World Championship at Grand Slam?

My ideal scenario is for the Casino Ladder Match chip to work in Money in the Bank style.

Bryan Danielson beats Chris Jericho with some intervention from Daniel Garcia. That way, we get Jericho vs. Garcia at Full Gear. Jon Moxley beats Sammy Guevara.

The finals of the tournament are Danielson vs. Moxley. It’s a friendly-spirited competition with the two of them beating the crap out of each other. Danielson gets the victory, but just as he’s celebrating, MJF comes down, demands his title match right then and there, and wins the title.

Full Gear, we get MJF vs. Danielson. Moxley gets to take some time off. When he returns, MJF vs. Moxley at Revolution.

3) Braun Strowman returned to WWE this week. Who are some of the Superstars you’re looking forward to seeing him feud with down the line?

I’ve always been a fan of Strowman. Sometimes, it feels like I was one of the few people advocating for him to be world champion, while others were writing him off. Now, I think people have come to terms with him being more athletic than most big guys. But while I want to see him succeed, I think his overall best value will be in putting other people over, while still staying strong enough that it means something.

With that in mind, Karrion Kross needs to get a win over him. Give me Gunther beating Strowman, too.

I also think Strowman has to lose to Roman Reigns again, at some point. Let’s make that just a one-off, though, instead of an extended feud.

But I want to see Strowman take Omos down a peg. By now, I think we can rule out the idea that Omos is going to be something special. For that matter, Commander Azeez has been in WWE long enough that they clearly don’t see it in him. Feed those monsters to Strowman so that he looks as strong as ever once more and when he loses to Kross or Gunther, they, in turn, seem like bigger deals.

I’m also down for Strowman against Lumis as a short feud, something with Bron Breakker eventually, Damian Priest makes sense to me, and I’m always going to be interested to see what happens with Johnny Gargano, Cody Rhodes and Tommaso Ciampa against anyone, even if I don’t think they’d work particularly well against someone Strowman’s size.

4) What are your votes for Carmelo Hayes’ challenger (Joe Gacy, Von Wagner or Wes Lee) and the NXT Tag Team Championship gimmick match (Tornado Tag, No DQ or Steel Cage)?

I had previously thought Wes Lee could be built up to take the North American Championship. Now, I don’t think that’s as much of a possibility. That renders Lee kind of a wasted vote, since he’d just lose and that would be it. It’s much more interesting for me to see what they’d do with Gacy or Wagner and the heel/heel dynamic. I’m not particularly fond of either, but Wagner has my vote.

For the tag team title match, I voted Tornado Tag. It’s not something groundbreaking, and I’d imagine all scenarios will involve Damon Kemp interfering, so it’ll all come back around to the same point, but at least could be chaotic bypassing the tags.

5) NXT 2.0 is celebrating its one-year anniversary. Are you fond of this brand, or do you wish NXT Black and Gold was still around?

While I can appreciate that they tried to do a semi-hard reset youth movement to get NXT back to a developmental system, I’ve not liked much of NXT 2.0 in this year.

Not only are the visual aesthetics not pleasing to me (though I do like the main theme song), I think it’s just too loud without having as much to say. Everything’s very in your face, but hollow. Most characters are extremely bland, and I think it’s a massive mistake to allow people who aren’t more seasoned to wrestle, since they look like garbage and that’s our impression of them.

Lash Legend wouldn’t have wrestled for the previous NXT until she had improved enough on the live event circuit that they felt she was ready. So far, all I’ve seen from her has been lackluster at best. She’s just one of many people who are going through their growing pains every week and it can be tough to watch.

Even the name “NXT 2.0” sounds lame to me. I wouldn’t have bothered to rebrand it. I’d have just called people up to the main roster and done this spiritual shift gradually.

Since the Black and Gold Era is 1/3 gone entirely, 1/3 living in AEW and 1/3 now on the main roster, I’m hoping we see more of that on Raw and SmackDown, as that was my favorite overall content from WWE from the past few years.
