UPDATE x 2: WWE.com has finally confirmed that Daniel Bryan is off the card for his Intercontinental title match with Bad News Barrett. As a result, Adrian Neville will step in to replace Bryan against Barrett. There will be no IC title match for the card. You can read the full announcement below:

“WWE.com has learned that Daniel Bryan is medically unable to compete tonight at WWE Extreme Rules. Therefore, there will be no Intercontinental Championship defense.

Meanwhile, WWE.com has also learned that Bad News Barrett, Daniel Bryan’s original opponent, will now face Neville in the WWE Extreme Rules Kickoff at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, available for free on WWE.com, the WWE App, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Pheed and the award-winning WWE Network.”

UPDATE x 1: WWE.com’s event schedule page is no longer listing Daniel Bryan to appear at Extreme Rules tonight. However, he is still being advertised for an Intercontinental title match with Bad News Barrett on the Extreme Rules PPV section.

In addition, Bryan is no longer being advertised to appear at Raw or Smackdown this week. However, he is being advertised for WWE house shows set for later this week.

ORIGINAL: Daniel Bryan was not in Chicago as of this morning for Extreme Rules. WWE has yet to make an announcement about Bryan’s formal status or his match with Bad News Barrett.
