This isn’t Sid’s first appearance in an installment of OYDK, but that’s with good reason. It’s October of 1993, and Arn Anderson, Sid Vicious, and Ric Flair are drinking at a bar in Germany. Apparently, all three men were extremely drunk and began fighting about why the company wasn’t drawing as many fans as it should be. Sid eventually began blaming Flair for stealing everybody’s spotlight. Arn proceeded to stand up for his teammate and friend and began scolding Sid for his suggestion.
Both parties went back to their respective hotel rooms to cool down, but Sid let his temper get the best of him. He grabbed the leg of a chair that he had broken in a previous fit of rage and marched down the hall to Arn’s room. After pounding on the door, Arn finally answered, however, with a pair of scissors in hand. He proceeded to stab Sid four times with the scissors, but eventually dropped them due to being so intoxicated. When Arn bent down to pick them up, Sid kicked him in the face before mounting him and stabbing Arn with the scissors 20 times. Both men were hospitalized for their injuries and then deported back to the United States.
The most shocking part of this story: Arn and Sid are on good terms today. Of course, the reason being that they were both too drunk to remember the night.
