On Tuesday’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that an AEW angle was filmed at this weekend’s PWG Battle of Los Angeles show.
Don Callis was in attendance for BOLA, and an AEW crew was also present to film an angle involving Callis and Konosuke Takeshita. As previously reported
, AEW officials are high on Takeshita and he is in line for a big push. The former Cyrus The Virus looks to be a part of that push.The angle that was filmed were some TMZ-style “reporters” speaking to Callis, who then went over and counseled Takeshita after his loss. In the angle being filmed, it appeared as though Callis was putting Takeshita over and trying to recruit him.
Konosuke Takeshita will face Bryan Danielson on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
