Adam Cole made his much-awaited return to AEW programming this week on Dynamite by delivering an impassionate promo and warning the locker room.
Cole’s fiancé, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. performed on the show as she teamed up with AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter to pick up a victory against Saraya and Toni Storm in tag team action.
Baker addressed Cole’s return to AEW following the Los Angeles, CA show. She tweeted:
“For months the only time @AdamColePro left the house was to go to bran/physical therapy appointments. There was a time he wasn’t allowed to fly on planes or do anything more than go for a walk. I’m so damn proud of how hard he worked every single day to get back to you all.”
Cole responded with the following:
“Thanks for being in my corner every step of the way. Couldn’t have done it without you.”
With 42% of the total votes, FTR has been voted Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s ‘Tag Team of the Year.’ Dax Harwood took to Twitter to address the milestone. He wrote:
“When I was a kid with dreams, 2022 was what I envisioned. Thank you all for riding shotgun with us on this trip. Hope to see y’all soon. Top Guys, out!”
And finally, reigning FTW Champion HOOK was named Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s ‘Rookie of the Year.’ Taz congratulated his son on social media with the following tweet:
“Very proud of this dude.”
