All Elite Wrestling (AEW) will begin airing its two-hour weekly matches on TNT on Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 8 p.m. ET to 10 p.m. ET.

All Elite Wrestling will crown its first women’s champion as part of their TNT television debut as AEW Chief Brand Officer Brandi Rhodes confirmed the news to Sports Illustrated.

“For many female wrestlers, the opportunity to fight for the title represents the crowning achievement of their careers,” said Rhodes. “The AEW women’s championship will be the cornerstone of the women’s division.”

“The championship will be treated with the utmost respect and prestige,” said Rhodes. “We hope to inspire future female wrestlers to dream of holding such a meaningful title.”

Further specifics regarding the women’s championship will be revealed in “The Road to AEW All Out” video series on YouTube, which is scheduled to air at 8 p.m. ET next Wednesday.
