Jon Moxley recently captured the IWGP United States Title for New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has yet to decide on whether or not they will recognize Moxley as the U.S. Champion.
Moxley will be facing Joey Janela on June 29 at Fyter Fest for AEW. NJPW and AEW do not have a working relationship with one another, but Moxley is allowed to work for both promotions. As for Moxley’s next match in NJPW, he will be taking on Shota Umino in the opening match of the Dominion pay-per-view (PPV) in Osaka, Japan.
The IWGP U.S. Title will not be on the line.
