AEW & WWE Stacking Shows To Compete Against NBA & NHL Playoffs This Week

The NBA and NHL Playoffs continue this week and both WWE and AEW are preparing for the stiff competition.

Dave Meltzer is reporting that both WWE and AEW are stacking their shows this week as they face competition from the NBA and NHL Playoffs.

This is also why WWE is holding the World Heavyweight Title tournament on RAW and SmackDown. WWE is hoping to offset the blow they would normally suffer against the NBA and NHL.

This is specifically true with the Warriors vs. Lakers series drawing record viewership as of late.

The first two hours of tonight’s episode of RAW will go against the Knicks vs. Heat game while the third hour will face competition from the Warriors vs. Lakers game.

Tuesday’s episode of WWE NXT will be up against the 76ers vs. Celtics game.

Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite will go against the Knicks vs. Heat game, with its West Coast replay competing against the Lakers vs. Warriors game. AEW has announced a cage match featuring Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley to tackle this.
