AEW’s Tony Schiavone was pleased that WWE made reference to Sting’s retirement at Revolution 2024 on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.
During this week’s show, Michael Cole brought up Sting’s retirement on commentary though stopped short of mentioning AEW by name.
On a recent edition of his “What Happened When?” podcast, Schiavone gave his take on WWE referencing the Icon. He said,
“Pretty cool thing… the right thing to do.”
Sting’s final match saw himself and Darby Allin retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships against The Young Bucks.
