Former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio has spoken about deserving to be in a major wrestling company.
Del Rio, a four-time WWE World Champion, was released in 2014, but returned in 2015 and was released a year later.
Speaking to SEScoops, Del Rio spoke about his future and how he’d be open to signing with AEW:
“I would be interested in going to AEW, or any major company. I deserve to be in a major company. Once it has been proven that I was always telling the truth about those things, I know, I don’t think, I know I deserve to be out there to continue entertaining and to rebuild my legacy in the business that I love. I would love to be in working for any major company.”
When asked, Del Rio said he has not reached out to anyone in AEW, but has spoken to other companies about work.
The truth Del Rio is referring to relates to him being accused of sexual assault and kidnapping, a case that was dropped in December 2021.
